The Architect was facing Baron Corbin at the Tacoma Dome in Washington.

Seth Rollins retained his Universal Championship after help from girlfriend Becky Lynch

Lynch’s rival Lacey Evans was revealed as the special guest referee ahead of the clash – and the Sassy Southern Belle did everything she could to stop Rollins winning.

One pinfall from Rollins on Corbin saw Evans count so slowly that Corbin was easily able to kick out.

When Corbin was about to be counted out, Evans suddenly changed the rules to ‘no count outs’.

Later, she stopped a count at two as her shoulder cramped and then again changed the rules to ‘no disqualifications’ after Corbin smashed the champ in the head with a chair.

At one point commentator Michael Cole could be heard to call the fight a “farce” and “ridiculous” as during one pin, Evans didn’t even bother count at all.

Corbin then hit Rollins with a low blow and the End of Days seemingly setting him for the win – but Lynch stormed into the ring and took Evans out.

Rollins was able to recover and hit Corbin with the Stomp, before referee John Cone came into the ring to deliver the three-count.
