Tammy Abraham: How Frank Lampard inspired Chelsea FC hat-trick

Tammy Abraham has revealed that Frank Lampard helped to inspire his first-ever Chelsea FC hat-trick in Saturday afternoon’s 5-2 victory over Wolves.

The England Under-21 international extended his incredible goal-scoring form with a sensational treble at Molineux Stadium to hoist himself to the top of the goal-scoring charts.

Abraham scored twice in the first half to give Chelsea FC a commanding lead, before the 21-year-old netted the pick of his three goals in the second half to help the Blues reassert their dominance.

Abraham has now scored seven goals in five Premier League games, despite having failed to get on the score-sheet in Chelsea FC’s opening two top-flight fixture of the Premier League campaign.

The Chelsea FC hotshot revealed what Lampard said to him at half-time to help inspire his sensational hat-trick against Wolves.

“I’ve been working hard and hopefully this can be my season,” Abraham told Chelsea’s website.

“It’s up to me to keep showing the gaffer in every game and training session that I’m hungry and I want success.

“He told me at half-time to stay on and get the hat-trick so I believed and stayed focused. I’ve just got to be ready to take every chance that comes my way with both hands.

“I’m working hard and I’m just delighted to see that pay off with my goals today as well as the three points.”

Abraham will be hoping to start for Chelsea FC when the Blues return to Premier League action with a crunch clash against Liverpool FC at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.

The Blues won the Europa League last term thanks to a 4-1 victory over bitter rivals Arsenal in the Baku showpiece back in May.

Chelsea FC missed out on the Uefa Super Cup after Abraham missed the decisive spot-kick in the penalty shootout against Liverpool FC.
