Peter Crouch singled out Mohamed Salah for special praise after the attacker helped to fire Liverpool FC to a 2-0 win over Watford at Anfield on Saturday afternoon.
Salah opened the scoring in the 38th minute when he fired into the top corner to put his side ahead before half-time.
The Reds were denied a second goal early in the second half when VAR deemed Sadio Mane’s header to be offside.
However, it was Salah who had the final say when he fired home a second in the 90th minute to wrap up all three points.
Salah has now been directly involved in 57 goals in 52 Premier League games at Anfield since his move to the club from Roma in 2017.
And former Reds striker Crouch offered his reaction to those stats and Salah’s display overall after the game.
“Those are ridiculous numbers,” Crouch told BT Sport. “It’s similar to Fernando Torres and Luis Suarez when they first came to the club – but he’s surpassed both of them. Incredible.
“He was the difference today. Watford couldn’t finish their chances and Mo Salah was clinical again.”
The win leaves Liverpool FC 11 points clear at the top of the Premier League table ahead of Leicester City’s home clash with Norwich City on Saturday afternoon.
Liverpool FC have been in sensational form this season and they have won 16 of their 17 Premier League games to leave them as the heavy favourites for the title.
Next up for the Reds is a trip to Aston Villa in the quarter-finals of the League Cup on Tuesday night, before they head out to the Club World Cup.
They will take on second-placed Leicester City away from home in their next Premier League game on Boxing Day.
