Manchester United have made a “substantial offer” for Crystal Palace defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka, according to Sky Sports News reporter Kaveh Solhekol.
The Red Devils have been linked with a move to sign the Palace full-back since the conclusion of the 2018-19 Premier League season.
Wan-Bissaka has established himself as one of the most promising full-backs in the Premier League thanks to his performances in the Palace team.
Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is thought to be keen to improve his squad in the summer transfer window following a difficult end to the season.
Antonio Valencia has left the club to leave a void to fill at right-back, although Diogo Dalot will be hoping to step out of Ecuadorian’s shadow.
Sky Sports News reporter Solhekol has revealed that Manchester United have made a bid to sign the Crystal Palace full-back this summer.
Solhekol wrote on Twitter: “Manchester United want to sign Aaron Wan Bissaka from Crystal Palace and told they’ve made a substantial bid for the England Under 21 right back. Palace don’t want to sell. He has 3 years left on his contract. United need a right back this summer.”
Wan-Bissaka made three assists in 35 games in the Premier League in the 2018-19 season.
Manchester United finished the Premier League season in sixth place.
The Red Devils failed to win a trophy for the second successive season after Solskjaer’s side lost in the quarter-finals of the Champions League and the FA Cup.
The 20-time English champions haven’t won the Premier League since 2013 when Sir Alex Ferguson was still in charge.
