Real Madrid have made Paul Pogba their primary target for the summer transfer window ahead of Christian Eriksen, according to reports in the British media.
Website Goal is reporting that the Spanish giants are keen on a move to bring the 26-year-old to the Bernabeu this summer as Zinedine Zidane looks to revamp his squad ahead of next season.
The same report says that Real Madrid have now placed Pogba ahead of Tottenham playmaker Christian Eriksen in their list of transfer targets this summer.
According to the same story, Real Madrid are keen admirers of Eriksen, but they have chosen to go all in on trying to bring Pogba to Spain this summer, because Zidane is a “huge fan” of the World Cup winner.
However, the same article also says that they will “bide their time” in their pursuit of Pogba, as they look to make room for him on their squad and their balance sheet.
Pogba’s situation has been a relentless source of speculation recently and the uncertainty has heightened since he admitted that he may look to leave the club this summer.
Manchester United will not play in the Champions League next season after the Red Devils finished in sixth place and without a trophy last term.
