Philippe Coutinho is open to the idea of replacing Eden Hazard at Chelsea FC, according to a report in Spain.

Spanish media outlet Mundo Deportivo, as quoted by Metro, is reporting that the Brazil international would prefer a move to the west London side ahead of other destinations this summer.

The same article states that Coutinho likes the idea of being the player signed to fill Hazard’s void in the Chelsea FC team.

However, according to the same story, Chelsea FC’s transfer ban for the next two transfer windows could scupper a potential deal.

The Spanish newspaper go on to report that Coutinho could end up at Ligue 1 side Paris Saint-Germain rather than Chelsea FC.

The report adds that Coutinho could be included as part of a deal that sees Neymar return to FC Barcelona from the Ligue 1 giants.

Coutinho moved to FC Barcelona in a £142m deal from Liverpool FC in the 2018 January transfer window after establishing himself as one of the Premier League’s best players.

The Brazilian has struggled to live up to his price tag at FC Barcelona to raise questions about his long-term future at the club.

Chelsea FC won the Europa League last term thanks to a 4-1 victory over their bitter rivals Arsenal in Baku.
