Pat Nevin believes Tammy Abraham will only get better in the coming seasons at Chelsea FC.
The England Under-21 international opened his Blues account with two goals in a 3-2 victory over Norwich City at Carrow Road on Saturday.
Abraham scored a 68th-minute winner to secure three points for the visitors to secure their first Premier League victory under Frank Lampard.
The 21-year-old was coming under pressure after his failure to score in his first three appearances of the season under the Blues legend.
However, Abraham’s brace at Norwich highlighted his undoubted quality and should provide the Blues youth product with a foundation to build upon.
Former Chelsea FC winger Nevin believes Abraham will only get better as the Blues forward gets more first-team football under his belt.
“Tammy Abraham was the one more than any other coming from the Academy who I felt would have the very best chance of really making the grade with the club,” Nevin told Chelsea FC’s website.
“From the age of 14 or 15 he has shown the right attitude, the eye for a goal and the willingness to take the knocks and get back up and get on with it.
“He also has that other thing, raw talent which can be worked on and moulded, especially with such an impressive physical structure to work with.
“He will just keep on getting bigger and stronger over the next few seasons and that is scary!”
Abraham spent last season on loan at Swansea City where he scored five times in 31 games in all competitions for the Welsh outfit.
Chelsea FC sold Eden Hazard and Alvaro Morata in the summer to provide an opportunity for Abraham to make a starting spot his own.
The Blues will take on promoted side Sheffield United in their next Premier League fixture at Stamford Bridge on Saturday afternoon.
Chelsea FC have collected four points from their opening three games.
