A MID-AIR collision has left one pilot dead in Canada.
One of the planes involved crashed in a field near the Carp Airport, Ontario, in a residential neighbourhood on Sunday.
Ottawa Paramedics said the pilot “was pronounced dead at the scene”.
The second plane was diverted to the Ottawa Airport and landed safely at around 10:30am local time.
There is no information yet on the number of passengers on the crashed planes or the extent of injuries, the Ottawa Sun reported.
No passengers on the other plane sustained any injuries.
The pilot of the second plane said the other aircraft hit the bottom of his plane, affecting his right landing gear, CBC reported.
