HARRY KANE says Tottenham’s failure to bring new players in this summer shows the faith the manager has in his current team.
Now Spurs are ready to repay that with a tilt at the Premier League title after a perfect start to the season topped off with a stunning 3-0 win at Old Trafford.
Kane said: “The gaffer said he’s not just going to bring in players for the sake of it.
“What that does is it gives the rest of the squad huge belief because it shows he has belief in us, so now we have to repay him for that and repay the club for that.”
And confident Kane believes a Premier League title will be the best way to do just that.
He said: “A lot of us have been playing together for a while that always helps when you aren’t playing well and in a bad spell we pick each other up that’s what you need in a long season.
“We stuck together here and that’s what we need to win a title.
“People talk about Liverpool and they have spent big money and they have put their money where their mouths are but we have built a team over the last four or five years with a great manager and we have huge belief in each other.”
Kane holds up the example of Lucas Moura as one where the manager has maintained faith in a player who others might have been doubting after an uncertain start to his Spurs career after joining last new year.

Following his brace on Monday night, however, nobody is doubting what the Brazilian can do now in tandem with Kane.
He said: “Lucas is one of them that some fans might have thought ‘is he going to stay, is he going to go?’
“He’s stayed, and he’s worked hard and he’s done well, and he’s deserved his place in the team and that’s what it’s about.
“He wants to keep his place and we all do. The competition for places is high and we’ve just to keep it going.”
Spurs have been in touching distance of glory under Mauricio Pochettino.
They came close to winning the title three seasons ago before stumbling at the end.But they have maintained their place in the top four finishing second the following season and third last year.
Now Kane says it is time to make history with a tangible reward for all their efforts.
Kane said: “Obviously we need to create our own history at Spurs.
“We haven’t been a club at the top year after year after year like United or Chelsea, so the only way to do that is prove people wrong and keep challenging.
“We have the drive and hunger to take us to next level.”
