DAVID HAYE has named the one boxer he believes would beat Anthony Joshua… and it’s not Deontay Wilder or Tyson Fury.
The WBO, IBF and WBA champion defended his unbeaten record with a seventh-round stoppage of Russian star Alexander Povetkin at Wembley on Saturday night.
The 22-0 fighter has now set his sights on WBC holder Wilder, who is taking on Fury in December.
But former heavyweight world champion Haye is certain that British star Joe Joyce, 33, is the man for the job.
Speaking to The Daily Star, Haye said: “There are some good potential opponents.
“Obviously, a guy I promote in Joe ‘The Juggernaut’ Joyce has something special.
“He is a big guy, he is someone who can sneak under the radar.
“He used to spar a lot with Anthony Joshua.
“I’d throw him in the ring with anyone right.
“Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder – maybe a few more fights until he gets to that level.

“But everyone else in the world scene, he’s better than.
“Once he fine-tunes and harnesses the skills and gets a little bit more experience going a few more rounds, I definitely think he’ll be ready for the big boys.”
Joe Joyce, who boasts a 5-0 record, faces a tough test against Iago Kiladze on September 30 in America.
