Manchester United are facing pressure from Adidas to keep Paul Pogba or replace him with a marquee signing this summer, according to reports in the British media.

The Daily Mirror is reporting that Adidas are “concerned” about the potential loss of Pogba to Real Madrid or Juventus this summer after having signed a £750m deal with Manchester United back in 2015.

The same story says that part of the deal was for Manchester United’s star players to help promote the brand in key markets.

The German sportswear brand are said to be worried about the possibility of losing Pogba’s marketing value as part of their deal with the Red Devils.

Pogba’s future has been a source of speculation this summer and it remains to be seen whether the 26-year-old midfielder will remain at Old Trafford beyond the transfer window.

It is claimed in the same story that should Pogba leave, Manchester United will be under pressure from Adidas to bring in a superstar signing to replace him.

Manchester United have so far only made one new signing this summer after having brought in Daniel James from Swansea City earlier this month.

The Red Devils finished sixth in the Premier League and without a trophy last term under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
