Liverpool FC star Mohamed Salah responds to his critics

Mohamed Salah has hit back at the Liverpool FC forward’s critics after his role in the winning goal in Sunday’s 2-1 victory over Tottenham Hotspur.

The Egypt international had failed to score in seven games in all competitions ahead of the visit of Spurs at Anfield in the Premier League clash.

Salah was guilty of wasting a number of clear-cut chances in Liverpool FC’s goalless stalemates with Everton and Manchester United over the past month or so.

The Liverpool FC star scored 32 times in the Premier League last season to win the PFA player of the year award.

While Salah failed to get on the score sheet at Anfield on Sunday, the former AS Roma star played a big role in the decisive goal.

Lucas Moura cancelled out Roberto Firmino’s opening goal with 20 minutes to go before Salah forced Tottenham goalkeeper Hugo Lloris into an error in added time.

The France goalkeeper parried Salah’s attempt into the path of Toby Alderweireld, who was powerless to prevent the rebound from going over the line.

Salah has only managed to score one goal and make one assist in his last 10 outings for Liverpool FC.

While Salah wasn’t accredited with the winning goal on Sunday, the Liverpool FC star has insisted that he isn’t concerned about the persistent questions surrounding his form.

“I didn’t score for a couple of games but there are some players who has the same number of goals as me but people are saying those players are having the best season of their life,” Salah told Sky Sports.

“There are three or four players and no-one talks about them – they say they have a good season and I’m the only one that has had a bad season.”

He added: “I want to win the Premier League – that is the most important thing to me.”

Liverpool FC signed Salah in a £39m deal from AS Roma in the 2017 summer transfer window.
