Jurgen Klopp believes that Mohamed Salah is now back to being “100 per cent” fit after his solid display in the 3-0 win at Bournemouth on Saturday.
The 27-year-old Egypt international scored one and set up another as he helped the Reds to claim an important victory at the Vitality Stadium.
The win left Liverpool FC with 15 victories from their opening 16 games in the Premier League this season as they retained their position as firm favourites to win the title.
Salah had been struggling with an ankle injury in recent weeks but Klopp believes that the attacker is now fighting fit ahead of the hectic festive period in the Premier League.
Speaking at his post-match news conference on Saturday, Klopp was asked if was a “bonus” for Salah to be back fully fit, and he replied: “Absolutely.
“It’s long ago that he got that knock but you carry things like this with you when have game after game after game. He looks now 100 per cent.”
Salah has scored 10 goals and made six assists in all competitions for Liverpool FC so far this season.
Liverpool FC moved 14 points clear of defending Premier League champions Manchester City on Saturday thanks to their 3-0 victory at Bournemouth.
The Citizens were unable to reduce the gap to 11 points when the defending champions lost 2-1 to Manchester United in the derby at The Etihad.
Liverpool FC will take on RB Salzburg in the Champions League on Tuesday night before the Reds take on Watford in the Premier League next Saturday.
