Tottenham Hotspur are concerned that Liverpool FC or FC Barcelona could sign Adrien Rabiot ahead of them this summer, according to reports in the British media.
The Daily Star is reporting that Spurs are keen to sign the 23-year-old Paris Saint-Germain midfielder this summer but are worried that the could be beaten to his signature.
Tottenham were linked with a move to sign Rabiot in the January transfer window but a switch failed to materialise for the midfielder.
Rabiot will be a free agent in the summer and he is bound to attract interest from a host of top clubs when his contract at PSG expires at the end of the season.
According to the same story, both Liverpool FC and FC Barcelona are showing “huge interest” in landing Rabiot this summer, with Arsenal also potentially interested in landing the midfielder.
The same report says that Tottenham are now “fearing” that another transfer deal could slip through their fingers as some of Europe’s top clubs show interest in Rabiot.
Title challengers Liverpool FC did not bring in any new players in the January transfer window despite their injury problems in defence.
