Real Madrid have not made a bid to sign Chelsea FC playmaker Eden Hazard, according to Belgian reporter Kristof Terreur.
The Belgium international has been the subject of transfer speculation linking the Chelsea FC number 10 with a move to Real Madrid on a regular basis over the past 12 months or so.
However, Hazard has remained at Chelsea FC despite a change of management after Maurizio Sarri took over the reins from his compatriot Antonio Conte in the summer.
Chelsea FC signed Christian Pulisic in a £58m deal from Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund on Wednesday to bolster their options, but the 20-year-old will be loaned straight back to the German side until the end of the season.
Naturally, the impending arrival of the United States international has fuelled speculation suggesting that Hazard’s time at Stamford Bridge is set to come to an end.
However, Belgian reporter Terreur is adamant that Champions League holders Real Madrid have not submitted an offer for the 27-year-old in the January transfer window.
Terreur wrote on Twitter: “Borussia Dortmund are interested in signing Thorgan Hazard as a Pulisic replacement. Deal with Gladbach running out in 2020. Real Madrid, meanwhile, haven’t made a move to sign Eden Hazard as yet. No contact with Chelsea. No official offer. No verbal agreement over a fee. #cfc.”
Chelsea FC signed Hazard in a big-money deal from Ligue 1 side Lille in 2012 ahead of interest from Manchester City and Manchester United.
The Blues forward has won two Premier League titles, the Europa League, the FA Cup and the League Cup during his spell at Stamford Bridge.
