THE UK coronavirus death toll continues to increase daily, with today’s fatality rate rising by 363 to 35,704.
It comes after Professor Jonathan Van-Tam warned Covid-19 may return again in autumn and winter, despite experts believing the daily death toll could go down to zero by the end of June.
Many Brits have started to return to work this week as lockdown measures ease, although the schools reopening date could be delayed and officials have said the crucial virus “R” infection rate may have risen over the last week.
But Brits have been warned by the government not to purchase any antibody tests that are not PHE approved – with these tests deemed key to getting the UK out of lockdown.
Meanwhile, Captain Thomas Moore is to be given a knighthood for raising £39 million for the NHS last month on his inspirational 100th birthday walk.
