Chelsea FC have turned down a fresh bid from Bayern Munich for Callum Hudson-Odoi, according to reports in the British media.
The Daily Mail is reporting that the Bundesliga side are thought to have tabled an offer of around £22.4m for the 18-year-old, who is currently recovering from Achilles surgery.
Hudson-Odoi is in the final year of his contract at Stamford Bridge and that means that he could potentially leave the club next summer on a free transfer if he doesn’t sign a new deal with the Blues.
The same story, though, says that Chelsea FC are keen to tie the teenager down to a new deal and have offered him a new five-year contract at Stamford Bridge.
It is claimed in the same story that the Blues want him to stay and develop at the club under Frank Lampard, who is expected to take over at the west London side.
However, the article also says that Bayern Munich still believe that Hudson-Odoi himself is keen on a move to join them this summer.
Hudson-Odoi struggled to break into the Chelsea FC first team in the first half of last term under Maurizio Sarri but earned some more regular playing time after Christmas, before rupturing his Achilles against Burnley back in April.
