THERE is a new flavour of gin available just in time for summer and if you’re a fan of the famous orange, chocolatey goodness that are Jaffa Cakes, you’re in luck.
While it has no affiliation with the brand, customers say it tastes just like the confectionery and given it a five-star rating.
The U.K. is a nation of gin drinkers and our obsession is showing no signs of abating just yet, especially with this weekend’s heat wave and festival season in full swing.
Advertised on the website, the makers promise a heady mix of chocolate cake made with orange essence in the batter.
If that sounds too rich it also has touches of peppery juniper to cut through the sweetness, and fresh clementine, bitter cacao and floral elements to give lightness to the mixture.
One happy customer wrote: “Finding this gin to be like a slow burner… the more I drink, the more I like it. I wasn’t sure at first, couldn’t really taste the orange or the chocolate, but after the next few glugs, I could taste jaffa cakes! Yum! This is now on my favourites list…”
