Is Mohamed Elneny in Emery’s plan?
Mohamed Elneny made a brilliant start last season but he appears not to be under the new manager’s radar.
With the Egyptian not showing any form of regret after his woeful performance at the World Cup, he is comfortable waiting for his time to shine.
There are so many options in the midfield and unarguably, Elneny cannot compete with them because of the depth they bring.

With the likes of the energetic holding midfielder Matteo Guendouzi, who singled out himself against Manchester city, the presence of Lucas Torreira who was outstanding coming from the bench and Mithland-Niles who can play as both a midfielder and left back.
However, many players are yet to be tested but the clubs’ manager may start looking at other options when the Europa League and other cup competitions begin.
Maithland-Niles who is currently nursing an injury from a knock he picked up against Man City, Elneny might as well be tested to see if he can switch the midfield with Matteo when required.
It will be appealing to see these duos together on the pitch but this may only be possible in a fashion show as they both look alike at distant.
However, If there is a need to control the back line and cool the tempo of the game, Elneny cannot be left out: he has proved how much he can offer and he is well able to do so with the new manager.
