THE X Factor is returning for a 15th series with a fresh new judging panel.

Here’s everything you need to know about when it’s back on TV, who the judges are and how you can audition…

When does The X Factor 2018 start?

The X Factor makes its big return on Saturday, September 1 at 8pm on ITV.

It will be followed by another show on Sunday at the same time.

After the first week, it will air every Saturday and Sunday from then on.

The opening show will go up against Pointless Celebrities on BBC One, Eric & Ernie on BBC Two and Oblivion on Channel 4.

Who are the X Factor 2018 judges?

The X Factor 2018 judges are Simon CowellLouis Tomlinson, Robbie Williams and his wife Ayda Field.

Louis has already joked that his former One Direction bandmates could be joining him at the Judges’ Houses.

Sharon Osbourne will step in to cover for Robbie during the live shows while he’s on tour in South America.

The shake-up to the panel comes after Nicole Scherzinger was axed from the show and Louis Walsh left.

Cheryl was previously tipped to be the favourite to join the judging panel but she signed up for the show The Greatest Dancer instead. 


How can you enter The X Factor auditions?

Applications for this year’s X Factor are open and you can apply by uploading a video audition online or sending a video via Whatsapp to 07733 222 927.

Open auditions are now over and took place in Liverpool, Birmingham and London.

Entries closed on June 27, 2018 – but there’s always a small chance that even if you didn’t apply researchers may hear of you and invite you to audition.

For the 2019 series, the show is considering scrapping live auditions altogether in favour of Whatsapp and online auditions.
